3) Littlefinger was given Harenhal by Joffrey. Tywin made a deal with Walder Frey for the Riverlands. It's quite probable neither knew of the other's decision. Now both are dead. Joffrey's gift was made in open court. Tywin's was never fromalized (that I know of). I'd bet that Walder Frey is SOL.
Tywin was part of the deal with LF. As far as I know he was just given Harrenhal, nothing to do with being Lord of the Riverlands. Tywin told Tyrion that it was "an empty title". And Tyrion is kinda smug once LF uses the empty title to enable him to marry Cat's sister.
Walder already got all of the Tully lands and castle for his son among other concessions and lands for other sons, he's not particularly SOL.

2) Jon was winning battles but losing the war, regardless of the marriage. The Boltons were going to turn regardless. The Karstarks were envious of the Starks. I can see Walder Frey taking the oportunity to betray Jon, who may or may not be King in order to winn favor with the family who sits on the throne.
I really don't see the Karstarks turning on Robb if he doesn't cut off the father's head, the families were too tight. The Frey's and Bolton's turning probably does happen regardless of the marriage, but who knows.

Yeah but there is no way in hell this thing drags out long enough for Robb Stark's children to have an impact.

I wasn't thinking the kid himself would raise a sword and chop down the remaining Freys.
But don't you think that the King in the North and the Lord of Winterfell will play some kind of role, even if it is someone major playing the role of installing them?
