Don't go getting yourself banned due to their stupidity. That goes for everyone.

I really hope I wasn't this bad last year. If I was I apologize profusely.

Looks like people are getting butthurt because I said that his name was Blackfish Tully.
It's pretty ridiculous. This is what it shows when you watch on HBOGo with the interactive features.

Well, I just edited my post. I'll be damned if "Brynden" is a spoiler. If you watch the 'meet the characters' feature on HBO that was posted in August/at Comic Con, he said he would be playing "Brynden Blackfish Tully." Whatever. I just edited my post and said "Blackfish Tully."
Now y'all see why me, as a non-reader, is posting in here...those other posters are crazy over there. I think I'll refrain from going over there. It's not enjoyable to post there this season and I feel like a lot of bandwagon fans who don't pay attention to characters post there now. If you mention anyone who isn't a Stark, Lannister, or Dany there, it's a spoiler. I could say the Hound's name is "Sandor Clegane" and they'd say "Oh that's a spoiler!" Or that Jorah Mormont and Jeor Mormont are related, "Zomg spoiler!"

Like it is some fricking spoiler to find out the guy's name is Brynden anyway

I was a bit more upset that they didn't have his wife or Val. Isn't Val supposed to be smoking hot? Also the fact that Mance has a son.

congrats guys, y'all have driven them to insanity. some of the shite I'm reading in that thread tonight is ridiculous. they are so paranoid now.

Yes, that was my other big gripe.

Exactly....I think their definition of spoilers is different from mine.
For instance, I don't consider people's names to be spoilers. Jaime getting his hand cut off is a spoiler.

I haven't been over there much and have no intention of posting, but I may have to go read.

Thanks for pointing that out

I've made my one and only post over there for the evening, because it's bullshite that ladytiger is getting some shite over something as simple as a name (and she hasn't even read).
I'm hoping Val gets introduced at some point. She's the one I hope Jon eventually ends up with instead of Dany "ERMAHGOD MY DRAAAGGGONNN" Targaryen.

Cocomo pays soooo much attention to the show, yet thought that Sam impregnated Gilly. Come on man.

Be careful ladytiger, Stu likes to skim this thread looking to see if someone is posting in both as part of some grand conspiracy. While you may be a nonreader, the witch hunt will not spare you.

Why are they skimming this thread if they don't want spoilers??? This is so ridiculous. And thanks for yall for defending me....

The bitching in there is ridiculous. The mere clarification of shite they should already know is getting their panties in a ridiculous bun. frick it.

I've generally taken the viewpoint of enjoying/judging the TV eps separately from the books, but I made a tiny exception tonight. Thought the episode was great. Very confident directing from Benioff. This may have been one of the better directed/edited multi-venue eps. Every scene was on point and we got to see some character development with minimal action which was a nice changeup from the generally heavy plot driven episodes.
My one quibble was I think they should've ended with Dany sacking Astapor. This episode did so many interesting thing with gender roles/stereotypes, I think perfect fit thematically (with equal "oh shite!" value) to end the ep with was the woman outsmarting the men, rather than the guy saving the girl then losing his hand. Needless to say, next week's ep is going to be crazy. Should have two huge events (Craster's and Astapor).

AND he thought that a non-reader was a reader simply because they posted something he had forgotten. This is getting freaking hilarious!
I may have to toss in a "that's now what you posted in the reader's thread" at non-reader just to watch the fun.

Please, I don't want a Jon/Dany hookup, especially if they could be related. I think I'll need to bring GRRM some donuts and I'll sway him away from that; besides, he stated that he hates fanfiction fantasies. I think we've seen enough brotherly love in between Jaime and Cersei and Theon and his sister.
