Anyone else believe Tyrion is a Targaryen? Clay Travis makes a pretty interesting point about him potentially being one.

This series is filled with setup episodes and people just forget that for some reason. Hell a whole battle early on was supposed of take place on screen and Tyrion gets knocked out and we don’t even see it.

You really think that the writing in the first few seasons is in the same tier as what we watched tonight? It doesn't even matter though. I will watch regardless.

I mean you arent trolling? You honestly think a 90 Minute episode that they spent a large chunk of the budget on is just going to cut to black?

Is anything gonna happen? These last two episodes people just talked

That’s when Thrones is at its best. Thought it was a great episode

It seems like they had material for 4 episodes for the final season and stretched it to 6 or 8 because of financial reasons.

A lot of exposition.

Podrick singing that song was haunting. Extremely well done. That and Brienne getting knighted made all of the other fireside chit chat worthwhile.

It’s like someone else said, it had a very “Last Supper” vibe to all of it.

Also, I understand pursuing the Iron Throne defines her but Daenerys should just see this revelation as even more reason for her and Jon to get married. I mean....she can’t legitimately think that she’ll be able to take the Seven Kingdoms after all of the losses she’s about to sustain without his and the North’s support....can she?

That was an amazing, amazing episode.

Character interactions we’ve never seen, the amazing scenes getting drunk around the fireplace.

Just a perfect episode to remind us why we love the characters before all hell breaks loose.

You should.

It’s the same sequence. You have the castle defenders preparing for a battle that they believe they might lose.

Damn good episode. Can’t wait to see the upcoming battle. Now, with that out of the way, I’ve gotta say, if I could trade places and be any character in the GOT universe, I’d be this guy....

Obviously it was setting up for the carnage to follow. A lot of these characters may never interact again.

Well D and D had GRRM’s books and the story to use.

Blame him if you feel the writing quality has gone down.

the more i think about tonight, the more i like it. i honestly think this was one of my favorite table setting episodes of the series

It absolutely was. It also had some pretty satisfying conclusions to many of the minor characters stories. Even if Brienne and Theon die, they’ve pretty much achieved their goals/achieved some peace at this point and I’m happier for their stories than I ever thought I would be. While I think Jaime has bigger things to come his arc has also kind of come full circle.

You saw how many women craster had? One would think the NK has a minimum of the same # of Walkers. Most likely way more since hes been around for so long.

This episode was exactly what episode 1 should have been. What ultimately made this show great was how invested we are into each character and the relationships between them. This episode hit that well. However I'm very disappointed that we dont get a hound/sansa reunion as that's a big one for book readers. And I was disappointed that we didnt get to see the bran/Tyrion conversation. Also what was jonah's last request to Dany?

They showed at least a dozen of them during the scene when the baby was turned into a WW.

That’s not a spoiler. I don’t think she’s going to be pregnant at all. I think Jon is going to have to kill her.
