How much involvement does GRRM currently have with the show?
I believe he said he wouldn't be doing any more work on the show so that he could focus more on his writing (ie food)

I always thought Euron was a bad arse in the books.

It's the show that makes him out to be pretty meh.
No eyepatch = meh.
I completely agree.

quote:Apparently he wrote that chapter a while back. He gave an audience an option of the arianne chapter that was released a long time ago or that one and they chose the arianne one. Supposedly GRRM tried to convince them the Euron chapter was better and they still chose the other.
Hopefully a chapter his editor cut. I don't know about that direction with Euron.

Well I like that he's focused on finishing the books, but I hope they're still consulting with him about the last two seasons.

“Foes and false friends are all around me, Lord Davos. They infest my city like roaches, and at night I feel them crawling over me.” The fat man’s fingers coiled into a fist, and all his chins trembled. “My son Wendel came to the Twins a guest. He ate Lord Walder’s bread and salt, and hung his sword upon the wall to feast with his friends. And they murdered him. Murdered, I say, and may the Freys choke upon their fables. I drink with Jared, jape with Symond, promise Rhaegar the hand of my own beloved granddaughter…but never think that means I have forgotten. The north remembers, Lord Davos. The north remembers, and the mummer’s farce is almost done. My son is home.”

Also, which Tully did Jaime speak to in the books when he was trying to lift the siege of Riverrun? Was it Edmure or Blackfish? I can't remember. How did that conversation go?

I think he spoke to both but I haven't read Feast in 3 years. I think he did threaten Edmure though.

If I recall correctly, he spoke with both. He got nowhere with the Blackfish but offered Edmure a pretty fair deal involving a newborn son and a trebuchet.
Edmure told Jaime how much he hated him and I remember really enjoying that chapter.

Yeah Jaime pretty much got owned that chapter

If my interpretation of patch face prophecies is correct. Euron or the drown faced God will have a large role in the wars to come.

Just read the chapter synopsis.
Pretty much, Jaime talks with Brynden one on one in a parlay. They got nowhere with Brynden offering to fight Jaime 1v1 for Riverrun. Jaime declined and those talks stalled.
He then goes and releases Edmure and tells him that he can save Riverrun and let a Frey have the castle while Edmure and his wife go back to The Rock as prisoners. If they have a son he'll be granted lands yada yada. Daughter will be wed to a good house yada yada and that's pretty much it.
It doesn't say if Edmure accepts or declines the offer though.

They better do the Manderly Mermen armor justice. The Merman Sigil and the Trident spears sounds badarse in the books.

Dear DROGON Wish we would have met. I think we have a lot in common. Unfortunately your mother killed me with a pillow. It's hard to explain. But nevertheless I still love her even though she hangs out with lesser men than me. Watch her back trust no one and Kill'm All For me. Yours truly. KHAL muthafrickin DROGO.

It was Edmure. He tells him he expects he might want his child, and Jaime says he will deliver it in a trebuchet

OOhh, I like that theory.
Especially since she knows Theon.
Of course last she heard of him, he sacked her home.

Sacked her home and murdered her brothers. I'm not sure signing on with Theon is a great idea.
Also I believe Yara and Theon are probably further south than Braavos. No real reason for them to be that far north if they are heading to Danny.
