In fairness he's the only one who has ever taken out a white walker-- and he did it 1 v 1.
I made this same comment a few weeks ago and was put on blast that Tub of Lard Samwell Tarly has killed a White Walker
Accident bullshite after Jon (via Ghost/ destiny) armed him

You watch your whore mouth when talking about Sam the Slayer

Um, I have doubts as the efficacy of this given the Wildings (which admittedly Ramsey doesn't totally know about). In show, I think he doesn't want to outright declare war on all of Westeros just yet if he can avoid it-- and that's what sacking Castle Black would do.
and a lot of this is why I bitched when they raced to kill Jon last season instead of developing the Iron Islands, Lady Stoneheart, Bran and the Wildling settlements south of the wall and the other towers of the wall. These things wouldn't have been exciting but they could have killed Jon midseason this season and then potentially brought him back at the end of the season or start of next. Would have allowed the books to stay with them a bit more and done a little more development across the whole story.

White Walkers aren't all Sam slays.

And to whomever said Jon Snow was a mediocre fighter, Kit's actually pretty good at sword fighting. Watch him in the Watchers on the Wall episode, or in his fight with the Halfhand.

I said above average. Just not some super badass warrior like Dayne or Barriston

The logic on here is if you aren't as good as Jaime and Arthur Dayne that you suck
.

Ned kept up with a two handed Jaime

And a two handed jamie lannister mowed down 10 Northerners at the Whispering Wood. Pretty impressive

He also beat Styr.
BTW, the Jon, Halfhand scene is one of the best of the series, just because of the way it ends. The Halfhand goes out like a man.

I would take Jon all day over Jamie...
Now, of course

Not that there is anything wrong with that; it's 2016, after-all.

The wildlings do alter the equation somewhat, but they still have one giant and essentially no cavalry.
My point was just that Ramsay should have no particular fear of Jon at this moment. I guess you could say that luring Jon from the wall would give him the moral ground to kill him. At the same time when has Ramsay cared about the moral righteousness of his actions? He strikes more as an "I want Jon dead, I'm gonna go kill him" kinda guy.

It's not the moral ground to kill him at play as much as weakening Jon. If he takes the fight to the wall then the Night's Watch is there to protect it and is more people to deal with. if he lures Jon south then he has advantage of Winterfell and the Night's Watch won't come with him.

Rickon is definifely going to be used as bait to lure Jon from the wall. Jon might not be a stark, but he is definitely a threat to Ramsay's claim as Warden of the North.

Pink Letter is going to happen with Rickon as the bait.
