If I have offended thee, prepare yourself for combat.

What kind of Ole Miss fan has Bama as his favorite team anyway?

I was thinking more along the lines of the Mannings being an unattractive family as a whole .

Poor Rickon is in his awkward looks phase right now.

Just a bump to prevent others from feeding the never-ending troll posts coming out of BFE, Missouri.

Does that guy have a day job?

Much like Littlefinger, he is jealous of his betters on the board and wants to see it all burn.

Watched all 3 parts of Tower Tower Joy Joy on Ytube. It was interesting until dude tried debunking R+L=J based on a theoretical travel time he devised to ride from Winterfell to The Wall, and transmorgrified that into troop movements...

I really don't think Martin put THAT much thought into it...I mean, that's digging pretty deep.

And the Lemon Trees = Dorne theory...Is it too big a jump to assume Illyrio could afford to import a tree or two from there? He could afford dragon eggs FFS.

Martin already said there would be continuity issues with the TOJs timing and Roberts rebellion when it comes to how long it took etc

If TOJ was Ned's dream, why does everyone trust that things went down exactly that way?

He's not worth the effort it would take for me to click my mouse.

I guess some people forget that this is all fiction and isn't really happening.

I don't think I'm understanding the issue? Ned meets the Lannisters in KL, doesn't like dead babies, saves Storm's End with his army and then splits off to find Lyanna in Dorne? Is the issue that her pregnancy would be too long?

It's something about how long it took to get from storms end to TOJ. It's non essiential really.

He didn't. And we don't have rigid timelines in stories like this until they're absolutely necessary (how long did it take for Frodo to get to Morder? Doesn't matter, it took the time that it took.)

Yeah, but there is something there because it is a recurring motif.

Maybe they were initially sheltered in Dorne before Varys et al could secure safe passage. After all, who were the adults with Dany and Viserys after their mother died? You tell a 4-year old he/she is going on a boat ride - are they going to remember that 12 years later? Okay, what about a 6 or 7 year old? Maybe, but maybe not.

(The right) 7 guys can move a lot faster than an army, too. Sleep in the saddle, take meals on the ride. They're not going to be crisp (they were going to face 3 Kingsguard), but they can move much more quickly than even 20 or 30 can.
