Idk but he's 20 years younger than the hound IRL and he's supposed to play his older brother

I was totally shocked when I found out how old Rory McCann was.

Left the show to be an Orc in the hobbit trilogy. Second Mountain looked more like a tree. Third mountain has the perfect size, just looks like he's 20 years old

It does seem like they've had a really hard time finding an actor for the Mountain who has both the size and the acting chops to pull off the part. Just a guess but that may be why we've had almost no buildup of the character leading into his fight with the Red Viper. I would have thought they'd ratchet up both the awe at his size/strength and the hate for him all season.

When the name "the mountain" started getting thrown around a lot early this season, I had to go back and google who it was bc I had no clue. He has been in what, 3 scenes now?

Yeah, if I had to name a thing the show has screwed up on the most, it's his character. The Mountain is a horrifying presence and a serial killer in the novels who regularly murders his own servants, and was rumored to haave murdered his father and sister. When you hear that he's Cersei's champion, Tyrion nearly shat himself and knew he was fricked. Oberyn is pretty much the only person who can and would face the Mountain in open combat willingly.

Yep and that is mainly because he is highly motivated to do so though. Even Sandor wants to kill him but doesn't want to really have to fight him to do it.

Exactly. Although I think that he's going to come back, face him, and conquer him and his fears in TWoW. This last episode really played up the 'fire' aspect and I think he's going to be reborn by fire somehow and use it to kill Robert Strong.

Yes. He's like 24. Which would have made him what, 7 years old? for the sack of King's Landing?

Possibly. I don't think he wants to get spoiled unless he's a reader in hodor disguise(which I doubt he's a pretty straight up dude)

I'm rewatching the Eyrie scene and Littlefinger basically talks in a Batman whisper now. It's become worse every season; his voice in S1 was fine and I have no idea why he had to change it.

Yeah, it is distractingly bad.

By season 6 he will be talking with a voicebox.

At the next comiccon or whatever he does where he takes fan questions the Batman voice needs to be addressed. Its like Abed's stressed Batman voice in Community.
