I like litlefinger but I don't get why some here think he has the most power. Tywin Lannister clearly does in my opinion. I get that LF has made a lot of moves and has tricked a lot of people. But that doesn't give him more power than anybody. He certainly has some awesome quotes and is trying to get that power. But Tywin is the man at the moment. .

Tywin is my favorite, but don't underestimate Littlefinger -- that's exactly what he wants you to do. Tywin has power, but most of that is because he has gold.

But remember: Littlefinger for a while was Master of Coin. And what do you think he was doing in that position? Being an honest accountant, helping the throne? frick NO. I bet you anything he was diverting funds, fudging numbers, doing whatever it took to bleed the Lannisters dry. Probably bleeding everyone dry. He might not have stolen the money for himself, but if he makes everyone else's wealth disappear, he evens the playing field. The dude is playing the long con. To paraphrase Old Ben Kenobi, I feel he will become more powerful than you can possibly imagine. (Until Bran worgs into a dragon and burns his arse).

What is all the hate for Ned coming from. Are the characters in the show so fricked up, that when one actually tries to do the right things he is a dumbarse pussy?

Yes.

Bran Stark is also a character i dont give 2 shits about. Every scene hes in, the only redeeming part of it is Hordor. Im sure he ends up being important but damn i hope not.

Maybe ATM, but he's broke, so as it currently stands his power is fleeting

Yeah, I found it not so coincidental that this motto was prominent early on in the series, and now they're in the current situation...

We'll see how it plays into the rest of the season.

Which happens when anytime a lannister is in any minor inconvenience he tells someone "ill give you more gold than you can spend in a lifetime"

Theyve done somethin like that like 4-5 times in the show and im just like "bruh, thats a lot of gold youre offering. Your money is finite "

I doubt he goes out easily. He's one of the more popular characters, after all.

Then again...crazier things have happened.

Interesting that that is not their official motto (which is "Hear Me Roar"), but only the words with which they are most commonly associated.

Without their reputation for paying what they owe, when they owe it, they would be nothing. Looks like the Tyrells are cultivating that title during this generation.

So are we going to see someone out for revenge against the Frey's? I was under the impression that whole breaking the hospitality oath thing was about the worst thing you could do in that world.

Isn't Walder on Arya's list now?

He's ancient anyway - the shot clock is running against him, regardless.

Maybe Blackfish will get some guys together and go after him. That guy was pretty badass...would not mind seeing him again.

No he survived the Red Wedding and headed back to Riverrun. Even though he does not hold the title (Edmure, technically, is the Lord of Riverrun), he will likely have the support of the Tully bannermen and be treated, effectively, as Lord of Riverrun until, ostensibly, Edmure's release.

By succession rights - Lisa Arryn Baelish would be next in line, should Edmure not produce a child with the Frey gal.

How do we know any of this? Last we saw of Edmure he was being dragged off to his honeymoon bed, I just assumed they killed his arse also off camera. Blackfish went to piss and that was the last we saw of him.
