This is big because Martin told the showrunners what is going to happen later on. I don't think they just made the whitewalker shite up.

It's different from the book, but I'm sure they got it from George. Bran and Dany's stories will have to be like this, otherwise Bran wouldn't become a tree until 2017 and Dany would be in Mereen until A Dream of Spring comes out

Really liked this episode and how it just kept focus on King's Landing and the Wall. Very interesting end, and confirms what we've been led to believe. Made me excited for Winds of Winter when we finally find out what the hell the Others are actually up to as well as their true origins.
I like how they're making this season unpredictable even for us. Have to say though, I was always thinking in the Jaime scenes that he just raped his sister.

That had to be the Great Other. I'm really interested in seeing where this goes. I love the books but I'm very interested in seeing where this Bran storyline goes--some people need to remember that he only had 3 chapters in ADWD. The Bloodraven reveal won't be until the finale of S4.
