You may refer back to the Crackpot Theories thread for info on theories/foreshadowing/prophecies covered throughout the series (and a good reference point for discussion):

LINK

We will keep discussion in this thread (for the re-read) and I'll link here in the OP where discussion starts as we read along.

Just some brief guidelines we ask that you follow here:

- When referencing specific passages from the book in discussion please give page numbers for those who want to follow along.

- If you end up reading ahead, please wait to discuss those chapters in depth beginning on the dates listed.

- Be respectful to others. If you don't agree with a point, then provide a solid counter to it. We're all adults here so no reason we shouldn't be able to have a decent discussion.

Looking forward to the discussion.

Some resources for readers in this thread to help guide discussion:

Westeros.org Links:

A Wiki of Ice and Fire: A wiki of roughly 5,000 articles that covers everything in A Song of Ice and Fire. Created by fans and supported by George RR Martin himself.

The Citadel FAQ: A FAQ that covers prophecies and major questions throughout the series. This includes info from A Song of Ice and Fire as well as the Dunk and Egg novellas.

A Forum of Ice and Fire: The official forum for A Song of Ice and Fire fans. Often used as a resource for theories.

Tower of the Hand.com Links:

A Game of Thrones Book Page: Gives chapter listings as well as chapter summaries for the first book in the ASOIAF series.

List of Houses and Family Trees: Pretty self-explanatory. Be aware that you could come across spoilers when looking at current family trees in ASOIAF.

Awesome. I am still in Feast for Crows and it's only been a month since I read GoT, CoK, and SoS so I will avoid this until I finish DwD but I may use this thread as a way to re-read and get in the discussion. Great idea! (I'm just ready to finish DwD so I can finally go inside the crackpot theories thread.)

I'm struggling myself. I read the first 3 books in 2 weeks. But want to give this a try as I know I miss things by going at such a fast pace. Plus don't let anybody fool you. This is much more about killing time until Winds comes out.

Nicely done, Belle. Second best thread on TD ever!

One suggestion:

The title might need to state this is a re-watch and re-read project.

I've seen other book threads get sent over to the OT Board. Just something to consider.

So.......if one wanted to read the chapters in chronological order, this list would be the way to do it?

No thats something different. This is just a schedule for a group re read.

We're going to read the chapters in the order they were written.

I think tower of the hand may have one. I'm not sure I've never done it

Sid, I think you are referring to the chronological order of Feast for Crows and Dance with Dragons. Correct?

If so, Tower of the Hand has an excellent list. I read those two according to the list and would highly recommend it...

...which I will be doing with zeal once Book Club gets that far.

All Leather Must Be Boiled

With a LINK like that, how can Book Club say no.

I feel like people who would participate in something like this would read much quicker than 3 chapters in a week. Just my two cents...
