Ted paid special tribute to Coach. You people don't know your stuff. He kept it simple for a reason.

I think this might be a generational thing. If you grew up at a time when Cheers was over, but Frasier was on then I think you enjoy Frasier more.

Much like my dad enjoyed the original Star Trek, but I grew up with TNG. TNG was awesome and is nostalgic for me to watch now, but the original series feels too campy for my taste.

Yeah, I grew up in the 90s with Frasier. Cheers seems so dated in comparison.

There’s a Nicholas Colasanto Park in Alexandria, VA, close to the baseball park where Steve Scalise got shot. But it’s named after a former mayor.

Coach was awesome. The episode with his daughter in the first season is still my favorite episode of the entire run. It still chokes me up when she finally sees herself the way Coach saw his wife.

And they did pay tribute to Coach with the dimestore Indian, and also the "Where the Buffalo Roam" episode. No man can be mad at another man after they sang "Where the Buffalo Roam" together...

Reports were that Colasanto didn't really "act" - and he wasn't Coach IRL, either. He was a pure method guy. Apparently, when he showed up on the set, put on the SS shirt and tie, he "became" coach.

My favorite Coach moment was early on,

Coach: [To entire bar] "Is there an Ernie Pantuso here?"

Sam: "That's you, coach."

Coach: [Back to phone] "Speaking."

"Albania, Albania, you border on the Adriatic."

Coach had some effective learning methods. Needed them given his enjoyment at getting beaned.

Watch Shelley Long in Night Shift with Michael Keaton and Henry Winkler. She was dynamite.

Or Caveman with Ringo Starr.

It’s terrible and awesome all at the same time.
