I always thought one of the best parts of this movie was how they humanized Bell. It wasn't your typical movie where the ex was so clearly awful you couldn't help but hate them.

Sure Bell cheated, but she wasn't just some heartless slut. Obviously she shouldn't have done it, but her talking about Peter letting himself go and her going to rehab without him was awesome.

What's the point of this board and in movies in general if we can't discuss them as if they were real life?

ETA it is a pet peeve of mine when movies try to absolve a person that does something shitty like that and put it on the other person In the relationship

For example, in Wanderlust, Rudds wife fricks around on him and yet at the end of the movie, he's the one making a grand gesture to win HER back like it was his fault the whole time and now he's changed. It's a load of crap

I'm not excusing it. She absolutely made a horrible mistake. However, being a lazy worthless sack of shite is also an incredibly dangerous mistake for a relationship.
