They are about to execute a guy in Texas tonight and he was one of the episodes. They call him the suitcase murderer.

Wasn't he the guy who was folding his victims up in suitcases, then throwing them into a dumpster? That guy is particular vicious. One victim was still alive when he sealed her up in a suitcase. If it's the same guy I'm thinking of, I'm glad he's being executed.

Yup. Caught him at Target or Walmart on camera buying everything.

I think I've seen all the episodes that HLN has the rights to. I wish they'd get some new ones. Here's another oldie but a goodie:

Forensic Files - Fishing for the Truth

This is the one where those a-hole detectives browbeat that poor low-I.Q. guy into confessing to a murder he didn't commit.

Agreed. It's very interesting and somehow relaxing to watch in a weird way.

Homeowner finds a thirty year old 55 gallon drum in his crawl space, with a woman's corpse inside.

Can you imagine living in a house for years and not knowing that a dead body is hidden somewhere in it? That's just creepy. About the only thing worse would be finding out that somebody is secretly LIVING somewhere in a hidden passage in your house, as in this movie:

Could watch nothing but Forensic Files, and The First 48, if there were more to watch. I love both, and have seen most multiple times, like others have said.

I have sometimes wasted an entire day on the weekend when HLN is running a Forensic Files marathon. I'll be ready to leave the house, but if I catch a few opening minutes of an episode, then I have to sit and watch. I find the series very addictive. The First 48 is great too. I just love true crime stuff in general. I wish they'd do a special historical episode on somebody like Edmund Kemper or Carl Panzram.

I remember the first one I saw....this guy killed another guy, lived in his house and kept sending birthday cards to the decedent's family on the other side of the country to make it seem like dead guy was still alive

I love Peter Thomas' eerie/foreboding narration style.

I can't link his cryptkeeper photo, but the dude is in his 90's and sounds like he's in his 50's.

Hopefully he's still got plenty of years left.

EDIT: shite, he died last year. RIP

I use to fall asleep to Forensic Files too. It’s like “The DNA evidence places his penis well inside of her vagina on the night of the murder.

I wish they’d come put with new episodes. They were all succinct, interesting and resolved. One of the best crime shows ever.
