Wait until this guy witnesses the cross dressing Link must undergo to enter the all female desert lands lol.

Actors look much better for the parts than I thought they would based on their original head shots, obviously the costumes, hair and makeup help a lot.
Very good age presentation for Link, he is obviously young but still believable as a hero who can fight. The Windwaker or OOT child Link works fine for video games but not really for a movie.
Given the BowT world is the latest and most familiar to general audiences at the moment, definitely looks like they are leaning into that athsetic, good to see Link in the traditional green tunic though.
I do hope it's primarily Link's quest and story though. Zelda being with him parts of the adventure are lore accurate, she does that frequently. In BotW it was implied that Link and Zelda did a ton of journeying and questing together but those moments are mostly seen in flashbacks.
The vast majority of the games he doesn't have Zelda on his hip the whole time. She's frequently captured or imprisoned and saving her is the sorta main quest which is why we often see glimpses of their time together told in flashbacks.

I might have to check this out. Everyone seems to hate it. Cons hate that Link is being depicted as submissive to Zelda and libs hate it because they didn't cast a troon as Zelda.

I'm not sure how you do a faithful video game adaptation and not have it look like cosplay.
I have zero faith that this will be anything more than "ehh, okay". Judging Mario, I don't believe Nintendo sees these films as anything other than advertising for their games.
