Luthor was thick or heavy set from his origin in the Golden Age throughout the Silver, Bronze, and Post-Crisis ages. It's only recently that they've trimmed him down. Hollywood has always given us Luthors that are thinner (and sometimes hairier) than the Luthors that were in the comics.

I got a good feeling about his portrayal of Lex. Seems like this is younger version, so I dont have an issue with his size. I can see him being pretty psychotic, witty, and manipulative while keeping it cool. Im excited to see how it all turns out.

Eisenberg is in his early 30's, so he's not out of the range of the traditional Luthor.
