I know it's April fools Day but this is currently breaking online. Pitt returning and Leo and Margot possible. I don't know how I feel about this.

I feel like it’s April 1st

If this is actually real, I don't think we need Leo or Margot back. Their storylines in the movie ended perfectly. I could see a continuing story line with Pitt's character though. He and Leo are going their separate ways at the end of the film anyway.

I loved that movie so I’m all in if it’s real

I think I read that either in this sequel script or in the original script it shows that he did kill his wife but it was mostly an accident, although they were arguing at the time

Hateful 8 came out in 2015. Once Upon a Time came out in 2019. We are now 6 years behind that and don’t even have a greenlit project for QT to look forward to.
He did get married and have a kid + covid in between. I’m wondering if he’s already ridden off into the sunset.
ETA: in the past he said he’d retire at 10 films or 60 and he’s 62. So looks like unless he backtracks on what he’s been saying, he’s done directing and will just be writing.

I mean he had an entire movie ready to go with a cast and then just dropped it.

He's still planning on one more. At one point it was going to be about a movie critic, but that has since stalled out. The age thing doesn't seem to matter as much to him as him doing 10 movies, and he considers kill bill 1 and 2 to be one movie.

I was going to go with Some Pulp Fiction starring Michael Gandolfini, but I figured it was too deep a cut.

There is no way this is cheaper than Mindhunter season 3.
