I have heard people run the whole spectrum of reviews on this one from Hilarious to Sucks. Personally I thought that it was moderately funny with some laugh out loud moments.

But what was really a pleasant surprise to me was how visually sophisticated the movie was for a ridiculous-type comedy. Must've had a big budget.

Also, there were a couple of pretty solid performances in it. I will have to watch it again before I make a good judgement on it.

I never got around to it. But yeah, RJD was his regular awesome self.

Also TOm Cruise was dumb in that role. Waste of a cameo if you ask me. THey should have just gave that part to some bald fat guy that isn't funny and can't dance. Would have been the same thing.

Yea if you thought it was good the first time, the second time will only be funnier. I kinda liked it the first time i saw, then i saw it again, and i really liked it, and then saw it a third time and it is know my favorite movie!

You catch so much more of the jokes the second and third time around

my favorite comedy, but i watch a movie for enjoyment, don't really care about acting or any of that other Oscar bull shite

But my favorite "real" movie would be Gladiator FWIW

When I first saw it in theaters, I was so high that I remembered hardly any of it, but I've since watched it again, and it is really overrated. Its funny yes, but I don't think I would even put it on my top 30 comedies. Tom Cruise's scenes were very funny the first time around and aren't nearly as funny on repeat viewings. Great comedies get funnier every time you watch them. For me it seems to be the opposite with this movie. Robert Downey Jr. though was great in the movie.

yea i think comedies are hard to rate, b/c not everyone laughs at the same jokes. So thats why people either really hate it or really enjoy it. And the more people that prop up comedies their will be more people to tear it down.

how could you say RDJ was good if you sat in silence the whole time?

I went to a seminar recently, and the speaker played the scene where the director confiscates all of their cellphones and burns them. Then he looked at us and said, "Get the point?", and started speaking.
