Buckwheat getting shot after Reagan was shot was classic!

And you didn't even include these:

I've always been surprised at the number of cast members who pretty much fall into obscurity after they leave the show. It's damn hard to get on the show in the first place. You think they'd be in more movies, tv shows, etc.

Hartman.

My fav sketch is The Sinatra Group. "I've got chunks of guys like you in my stool!!!"

Also loved the car commercial for the car that looks like a POS on the outside but is a luxury car inside.

Murphy is second. I used to have the best of Eddie Murphy SNL..... so damn funny. "Mr Wheat!!" "No autographs."

Hard to pick, but Radner was pretty good, but Chevy was the man!

I'm old enough to have seen them all. Hard to narrow it down to just one, but my favorites were Murphy, Hartman, Kattan, Farrell, and Fallon.

The best Weekend Updater IMO was Norm MacDonald.

I watched it when it first came on, but very little after the original cast left. Soooooo, gotta go with Eddie Murphy and second Gilda Radner. Murphy was great in EVERYTHING, Radner cracked me up with the Rosanne Rosannadanna role.

Mine would be Murphy but glad to see some Darryl Hammond recs. I can see that he is lacking whatever it is that lets some of these other guys make movies but he is a very solid contributor in an ensemble and he could carry sketches.

What, no Charles Rocket? I had completely forgotten that year. Their clips on the special were like watching clips from a group that died in a plane crash. I haven't watched regularly in forever but do catch the specials because no matter how lousy the show gets they can usually cull out enough for a couple hour special.

Not on a top 5 or even top 10 list, but Bill Hader is my clearcut favorite, he was hilarious.
