Much of the movie was filmed at the Bayou Lounge on Chimes St. One of the coolest T-shirts I ever owned came from there. It read:

I once found an autographed picture of ole Gus McRae signed by Robert Duvall himself while he was in the area filming The Apostle. It was framed and on a wall in an antique shop in Breaux Bridge. I got it for my brother for Christmas.
