EXACTLY.

The scariest part to me is them being lost. It gets really freaky when she realizes they've been going in circles. The supernatural part is almost a break for me.

Scream definitely. One of my favorite movies of all time. Coincidentally, me and the roommate were watching part 2 on Netflix while this thread was started.

Aliens (my favorite movie of all time)
28 Days Later
The Ring

I'm not big on horror movies, hate slasher flicks and torture porn. I like psychologically scary stuff, but it still generally trips me out.

I watched this movie when it aired on ABC in summer of like 1991. I was 6 years old. I had to have my babysitter or my Mom stand next to me when I went to the bathroom for about a year.

The fact that it's realistic makes it terrifying to me, in a good way.

Strangers
Scream
Halloween ('78 of course)
The Shining
Silence of the Lambs (more a thriller, but it has horror elements)
Nightmare on Elm Street
