The Thing wasn't that scary to me. When the monster or whatever busts out of that dude it is corny looking. Definitely some cool drama elements with all the pitting people against one another in a closed environment though.

The Exorcist and Aliens were always this answer for me.

but i didn't see either in the theatre. the scariest i saw at the movies (and i don't see many) was silence of the lambs.

I always wanted to own a big piece of wooded land and build a house in the middle of it....until I saw that movie.

Same here...but then I figured if it is rural enough I will just mount a .50 cal machine gun on the front porch.

Problem solved, no murderers

As someone who's not really a fan of horror movies, "Skeleton Key" is pretty awesome.

I need to re-watch Blair Witch. I don't remember it too well.

My answer would be house on haunted hill (helps that I used to go to Old Bryce in TTown, which was an old shut down mental institution).

also, scream, insidious, the strangers, friday the 13th (original), halloween.

Edit: Motha Fcking IT

I know im missing some.

28 Weeks Later

I wasn't scared by Paranormal Activity 3 but my roommate did make cookies while we had people over watching it, he was carrying them to the table and something pops out. He threw all the cookies across the room and a glass of milk. One of the funniest things I have ever seen.

Paranormal and true horror flicks don't really scare me, they shock me.

But The Strangers scared me. It's the only movie I have ever seen that truly terrified me. I had to turn the lights on and take a break just to make it through.

The knife to Liv at the end was unbearable.
