Has anyone seen his films on YouTube? He travels to the actual film locations such as houses and landmarks used in films and films himself in split screen at the scene location NOW against the actual movie scene. It's incredibly cool film work and it's fascinating to see how much or how little the scene locations have changed in the years since the movies came out. He did this with Close Encounters of The Third Kind as well as E.T. Check the out on YouTube if you get the chance. Really cool

Destin harbor in Dr. Strangelove. You can see the bomber over the water in the top left part of the picture.

Sorry for no link. I can't link from my cell phone. If you pull up YouTube and type in "close encounters filming locations" it brings up the short films

I live about about 5 minutes from the Neary house from Close Encounters. I had to visit a nearby business for work yesterday and I managed to find the house from the movie. The house looked the same but the surrounding neighborhood looked nothing now like it did when the film was made 35 years ago. The kitchen window where he was throwing plants into the house through the window now has burglar bars covering it.

I also happened to drive by the place where they filmed the railroad crossing scene where Richard Dreyfuss gets zapped in his truck by a UFO while reading a road map.
