He’ll be on screen.

Bradley Cooper wasn’t a top 5 actor in 2013 with the hardware and recognition that Bale has now.

makes you wonder how Dicaprio and brad pitt have held out all this time. I bet them dudes have gotten some offers that would make my wallet cry.

I actually think Hollywood knows these two are no where near a fit for comic book movies and don't even entertain the idea of sending an offer. I, personally, would hate to see either one of them in a comic book movie. Would not be able to take it serious...well...as serious as comic book movies are made to be.

Pitt and DiCaprio have way too many realism roles in their resumes for a comic book character to make sense.

he was nominated for best actor for silver linings feelbadbook the year before, and was also in american hustle

not arguing that he's as good as bale, because he isn't. but he was a good-looking, bankable star. it made non sense to put him behind a mic, but they did and it worked out

because marvel

Not true. Pitt had interest in playing Cable for the deadpool sequel.

Isn't this the movie where Jane becomes "Mighty Thor?" Seeing that has severely hampered my level of excitement for this movie.

Well, it was reviewed almost universally well, and it was at various points in the arc outselling male Thor. At other points it was level. It was an arc. She wasn't ever there to stay. Natalie Portman will have an arc while Hemsworth will still be there as the star.

Sales to the store, or sales to the consumer? It's hard to get anything from comic book "sale numbers" because they don't report the end user purchases they report what was sold to the stores.

You'll have to go a lot further than that to trigger me off of a Hemsworth/Bale Thor film directed by Waititi.

For some reason I was under the impression she was going to be the lead and the movie was going to be about Lady Thor.

I’m pretty sure it’ll be 50/50 between her and Hemsworth. Bale will likely be the villain. Portman didn’t come back for some small role.

She wasn't a small role in Thor 1 or 2.

ETA: In 2 she was the focal point of the entire plot.

Can’t believe he turned on DC. I feel like actors need to pick one comic book company and stick to it lol

We'd have missed out on one of best Marvel villains, Michael Keaton.

Probably because Cooper only wanted to do the voice work. That’s what? Fly in on Monday, walk through the studio and meet the creative team Tuesday, do your lines on Wednesday and Thursday, and call and say see you at the premiere on Friday on your way back out?

Bale isn’t the one for that. It’d be a waste of his time and talent just to do that. If he’s doing voice work he’ll have to be to the character what Spader and Brolin were to Ultron and Thanos.

Not sure why Christain Bale wants to tarnish his immaculate career by taking a role in a freaking Marvel movie with Chris Hemsworth

He did TDKR so this wouldn’t be the worst comic book movie for him
