I’ve seen it discussed here about how the planet would adjust after Infinity War. But what about after Engame?
5 years of half the population and in an instant you add billions of people? Seems like a recipe for catastrophe. Starvation etc.
not to mention the people who came back would run into problems with their family/friends/loved ones who moved on.

Sorry If this has been discussed. I haven’t seen it. It would be great if it has and anyone could point to such discussions.

Hopefully we get some of that in Far From Home. Not too much, but enough to give some context.

I was thinking about kids in school. And especially all of Peters friends from school. If some were snapped and some weren’t some are now 21 or so and some are 16.

I want to see a movie about a husband who had his wife disappear and he gets remarried in the 5 year gap only for the original wife to come back. Talk about an awkward situation.

Isn’t that the ending of Castaway?

Newborn babies that disappeared at birth and reappeared five years later.

People who missed their parents’ deaths and funerals.

People who were on their deathbeds and returned five years later only to die almost immediately.

You had a girlfriend your own age who was snapped, but now that she came back you can be charged with statutory rape for picking things back up.

Well, we only know of three that were snapped along with Peter:
MJ
Ned
Flash

(Because those three are all on his HS trip with him for Far From Home).

I honestly don't remember the other members of his debate team anyway, and Liz moved away so I don't think we'll see her again anyway.

Steve Rogers is living in the past, with knowledge of Charles Manson, Son of Sam, Chernobyl, Columbine, 9-11... does he spend his new life preventing preventable deaths? Does he create a better world or does preventing these atrocities result in newer, possibly deadlier events?

Or does he just live a quiet life with his girl.

Cast Away?

Only partially. Those coming back from the snap would not have any sense of time being elapsed. It was more or less instant from the way Peter was describing it to Tony after he came back. You can see the contrast in how Peter approached Tony and how he responded to Tony’s embrace.

That didn't bother me. What I didn't really understand was him growing old in their timeline. The bald lady explained to Bruce that when they go back in time, they create a fork. An alternate timeline. So technically he would not be able to go back to that timeline unless he traveled through the portal or whatever. He could have stayed and grew old, but it would have been in a forked timeline.

Not that it's a huge deal. I mean, after 11 years of character development and storyline, I'm willing to forgive a lot when it comes to plot holes. As long as the characters were well taken care of. And they were.

This is what I assumed happened. He lived his life in the “Peggy/Steve timeline” then jumped back to the original timeline.

He would have had to come back through a different portal than the one he went through. They never showed that, but it can't be ruled out.

He would create alternate timelines each time.

Why not just jump back to the original timeline in the same manner he did for all of the other timelines to return the infinity stones?

ETA.. trying to sort all of this out myself
