Yeah, thought the same. That didn't contribute to the story IMO. Not sure why it was included.

Just got around to finishing the second season and this show was fantastic.. I was worried how they would pick it back up after season 1, but the writers did a really good job.
Found myself getting annoyed with Alyssa this season, but really good performances by everyone. This show is so good.

Yeah, if you liked the first season, you will like the second. No drop off at all.
I think all of the characters are well thought out and well acted.

I've been very curious about this one for a long time, but haven't gotten around to it.

Worth watching. Very good show.

I watched season 1 when it came out and binged it again along with season two the last few days. What an incredible show

Totally forgot about this.
Is this a particularly violent show? Everyone saying dark comedy wasn’t sure if it’s more thematic or violence. TIA

Very little violence, though I guess there is some blood.
I didn’t watch until season 2 came out and binged both in a weekend. I loved it.

Thanks, Mrs Voodoo isn’t a fan of super violent stuff. Going to check it out tonight

Holy shite we just binged the whole first season
Great rec MTV Board!!
Was definitely unsettling the first couple of episodes but when James makes the turn these two end up being such a sympathetic couple that you just root for so much that it’s hard to turn off.
The pace feels so quick we never got to a point where we even considered taking a break.
Just a great series and the music was perfect

Agree. That was one of my favorite parts of it. Every song fit extremely well with whatever scene it was tied to. The leads are really great in a super awkward, eccentric kind of way.

Agree on the leads, they are very unique but make a perfect duo
We started season 2 last night.
Only planned on watching one episode but kind of had to watch the second because the premiere was so different than what we expected. Very good hook for this season!
And the second episode was also a little different focusing just on Alyssa, but the ending of that one was awesome and made us watch episode 3 as well
Very excited to see how this all goes down!! Great job recapturing the magic of season 1
Shout out to James’ dad, GOAT

Just finished season 2. Didn't expect a 2nd season, but I think overall it was pretty solid. Not quite as good as the first.
The diner scene near the end was pretty intense. Enjoyable series, but I am assuming (and hope) it ends here.

No Yara was great in HBO series “‘Gentleman Jack’’’.
I liked End of The World and laughed when he slugged his dad to get the car keys and take off. The ending is a gut punch like an above poster said. It’s an easy binge watch that goes rapidly.

We finished it last night too and yeah I liked it but it didn’t quite hit the first season as far as consistency.
Alyssa’s boyfriend Todd and her Aunt were solid characters, as was the police officer in the finale
Agree that the ending with James and Alyssa sitting side by side was perfect and it should be the finale.
A truly nice surprise of a show
