Is that why Disney cast him in star wars?

That’s probably why HR approved it, but Disney needed a pasty white unattractive male to be the villain

Yes.

Where are the Asians? I was not familiar with this movie from 2017. So I looked it up and did not see Asians in the cast. Are you just making shite up or just googling shite and posting it to play a role?

The only 2 black movies I can think of are Soul and black panther.

There are tons of black characters in their kids content in disney junior and disney channel series over the same time frame.

Do some of you really look at a cast like this and think 'well they would've been able to hire more talented people if they couldve hired more white people"?

We're like 8 years into this and people with your mindset either still don't get it or refuse to be intellectually honest about what we're saying.

We're not mandating more white people. We want the choices to be based on merit and as true as possible for the character they're playing. Mandating that at least 50% are anything other than white people (racism) directly conflicts with that. Imagine if we mandated that 50% of Black Panther was white. It would be ridiculous because the story is set in Africa. Are there white people in Africa? Yes, but we all know it's a majority black continent with its history being majority black. That's great because the continent has countless years of history and themes that are specific to them. I'm not sitting there thinking "where are the white people?". The story doesn't call for that.

I've said it a thousand times on here but I'll say it again: I'd be furious about Blade being anything other than a black dude. What they're doing is against the very idea of creativity and storytelling. It's diluting it, which makes the product suck arse. For example, Reva's inclusion in Kenobi. It should've been a show about two of the most famous characters in history dealing with the ramifications of what happened. What we got was a character that shouldn't have been there as the main character, knowing things she shouldn't know, and ruining the established lore.

We've gotten to the point that Anne Boleyn, the literal queen of England that existed, was race swapped. It's fricking ridiculous.

I meant the sequel from 2021.
75% of Russia is in Asia. Not sure how they use that in their casting guidelines.

Wait so you don't mean ethnically Asian, but geographically Asian? Which is it because you included Moana earlier?

You can't have it both ways, but I understand why you want to.

But these guidelines count casting a white female the same as casting a black male and vice versa. So you dint have to throw off the setting, just add a few women of the same race

Everyone should. But it isn't like there's a pool of 3 Asian people or 3 black people to choose from. You should be able to find someone of equal talent no matter what race you decide to cast in a role. You have hundreds of professionals casting for Disney roles

According to a project by the National Geographic, about 24-32% of Russian DNA is Asian.

So you've chosen the path of googling random shite to get yourself out of this hole you've dug. I can do that too.

According to source...
quote:

The Russians (Russian: ???????, romanized: russkiye) are an East Slavic ethnic group indigenous to Eastern Europe, who share a common Russian ancestry, culture, and history.

You're wrong. Sad.

I know Russians aren't indigenous to Asia. That doesn't mean they aren't part of it now.

Next are you gonna argue that south Africans aren't African?

How can you claim someone with Asian DNA living in Khabarovsk isn't Asian?

You were arguing the position of Asian movies by Disney based on ethnicity. I know this because you mentioned Moana, Raya, Mulan and Shang Chi. Then you mentioned The Last Warrior. Oh gee one of these things is not like the other. I called that movie out and then you tried to move the line and claim Russians as Asians. Instead of just saying or admitting you were wrong in that one instance, you tried to move the goal posts so that you ultimately did not have to admit you were wrong.

Now you are doing it again by asking me a disingenuous question. Do you think that Russians are considered Asians under these diversity standards?

That's still the problem, the counting. It's not Noah's Ark where we have to have a little of everything. Those railings keep creativity from expanding.

Let's say I were to write a sci-fi book/screenplay about myself and all the people in my life (of various races), Because the races of these people won't be 1 for 1, guidelines like the ones Disney is pushing would inevitably change who these characters are because they'd no longer be based off who I had written about. They would have to be changed because the numbers have to be reached regardless of story.

That's the dilution of creativity that I'm talking about.

You argue nothing in good faith here. You're intellectually dishonest. It's ok to admit when you slip up. I caught you and pointed it out. That's all.

Do you think that DNA tests are part of the Disney casting process?

What does underrepresented even mean?

As a percentage of the population?

Because if anything, some demographics are way over represented in media, compared to their percentage of the population.

Walt Disney would get hired by Disney because of his immigrant status.

Carry on.

I think Disney would realize Russia is part of Asia.

You wouldn't consider these Russians to be Asian?

Or do assume all Russians are white guys?

Lol. Well apparently I did more research than you since I looked up the cast list. Now I know you're just retarded.

Here it is in case you were curious.
