This is exactly where I said we were headed the day the Weinstein shite came out.
They're getting what they want. Every allegation from the real to the stupid to the fake to the nonsensical.
It's going to water down the entire scandal, push aside legit stories, and ensure that the public moves on quickly and completely dismissing the whole thing legit claims and all.
They're playing this thing perfectly.
Case and point: this board wants to just lump all the allegations into a stickied thread and forget about them.

Ratner and Woody are accused of rape, so I think this leads credence to the allegations. These are appropriate people to go after.

I think the producers hold the cards there. This is her meal ticket and she will probably never get a chance like this. They can find another pretty place to take over. While I want these types to be outed a lot of these women need to realize that their looks are what got them there. When it comes to looks women are a dime a dozen.

You don't think gal gadot would have leverage? She just gave them their first critical success since the Nolan days and is a part of the trinity they are building their entire plan on. Replacing her now would be awful for them.

Gal Gadot has 100% of the leverage here. No one gives a shite about who is producing a film.
Also, imagine the PR nightmare if they replaced Hollywood fan favorite Gal Gadot in favor of keeping a piece of shite like Brett Ratner.

Yeah, I didn't even know that Brett Ratner was even a part of this in the first place. He's definitely one of the worst producers/directors in Hollywood along with being a repulsive human being in general. Brett Ratner is no loss to anyone's project.

His company put up some of the money. I doubt that Warner will have trouble finding investors, or rationalizing putting in more of an investment themselves.

She would have some leverage but if it think there isn't a line in the sand you're fooling yourself. I get this isn't a Megan Fox situation. You're definitely right that DC is banking on this and she is a major part of it though.

The guy is Brett fricking Ratner, one of the worst producers in Hollywood who brings nothing of value to a project except for money. They’re not going to have any problem finding someone else to pick up the slack for him. No one will be mourning the loss of Ratner who is just a fricking hack.
