Ellen Page says that Brett Ratner outed her on set; Woody Allen accusations as well

Stay classy Brett Ratner by saying this shite to an 18 year old. Or you could keep going off on how Rotten Tomatoes just hates your films for no reason instead of facing the fact that you’re a shitty filmmaker and person.
Also this implies that Woody has done some shite to her as well. I’d like for her to be much more specific on this.
quote:
“'You should frick her to make her realize she’s gay.' He said this about me during a cast and crew 'meet and greet' before we began filming, X Men: The Last Stand. I was eighteen years old. He looked at a woman standing next to me, ten years my senior, pointed to me and said: 'You should frick her to make her realize she’s gay.' He was the film’s director, Brett Ratner," Page alleges at the beginning of her essay.
"I was a young adult who had not yet come out to myself. I knew I was gay, but did not know, so to speak. I felt violated when this happened. I looked down at my feet, didn’t say a word and watched as no one else did either," she continued. "He 'outed' me with no regard for my well-being, an act we all recognize as homophobic. I proceeded to watch him on set say degrading things to women. I remember a woman walking by the monitor as he made a comment about her 'flappy pussy.'"
quote:
Page, who described acting in Woody Allen's To Rome With Love, as the "biggest regret of my career," called attention to the stories of marginalized groups who are often silenced in their struggle for justice, and those who "chose to look the other way" as powerful men continued their path of abuse.

This almost surprises me more than some of the other accusations.
If you're in hollywood, you gotta know not to say stuff like that.
Not that I'd expect Brett Ratner to be terribly tactful.

I read the full Facebook post she made, and she makes a very serious accusation of a “Miramax Executive” (ie in all likelihood Harvey). This woman Misty Upham was raped by a Miramax Executive and then was soon found dead off of a cliff in a wooded area. And this woman was a hardcore SJW looking to reform the Hollywood system. That’s suspicious as shite.
And also after reading it, I’m getting a strong implication that Woody Allen either raped her or heavily sexually assaulted her. I really want her to go full out against him since he’s been one of the biggest monsters in Hollywood for decades.

Even after all this time, why are we still talking about "executives?"
It's beyond the time to name names.

To be fair to Ellen, she was citing someone else who wasn’t specific on who raped that woman. We all know that Harvey is the implication though.

What about the Woody Allen accusations/implications? I don’t think that’s garden variety, or I sure as shite hope not.
And Ratner is a dickhead who makes awful movies and sexually harasses women non-stop. Hope he doesn’t direct anything ever again.

She didn't have Woody Allen accusations.
She just said that she regretted being in his film. Which is total horseshite, since she was 25 and not the naive kid that she's alluding to. She knew the allegations on Allen when she took that role.

I’d read the Facebook message. What the frick could Woody Allen had possibly done to her that would be worse than Ratner constantly sexually harassing her?

Woody Allen is one of those guys that you don’t give the benefit of the doubt and assume the worst of any implications that are thrown his way.

we just need to ban all movies and tv shows, it's the only way to be safe anymore. We can't risk any future male female interactions of any sort while on set.

I don't like any of the people mentioned.

this shite isn't gonna stop now, the avalanche is just beginning.

The only implication is you fabricating new accusations in the subject title when there are none.

It’s time for women to stand up for this shite on the spot and not 15 years later in a social media post.
By not stopping it on the spot, you are both accepting of it and subjecting others to it in the future.

I’m sure plenty more will now. But blaming women for not speaking up when they did is bullshite. Their careers and/or wellbeing had to be weighed against it.
Posted on 11/11/17 at 2:06 pm to TotesMcGotes
So it was something they accepted as “how things are done in Hollywood”
Meaning they’ll put up with the sexual misconduct as long as they keep getting fed roles.

Are you serious? Clearly they knew it was wrong, but they had their own lives to consider. If you speak up and you can’t prove it or you’re swept under the rug because the people you’re accusing are powerful as shite, then you’ve thrown your career away.

And you can end up sleeping with the fishes if you're a nobody.
Once you're well established they can't order the hit because it'll be a major headline if something happens to you, and the unfortunate accident will be extremely suspicious.
