Go back and watch when the Heinkel gets hit by the British fighter. Are you telling me that looks like a plane getting hit by the massed fire of 8 machine guns? Or does it look like a plane that turns on a smoke generator when it is supposedly "hit" like we have seen in movies for 40 years?

maybe you’re right, but I feel like we’ve already had this discussion when the movie came out so it’s obvious your mind is made up

-Easy to follow? NO

Really? One of the simplest plots in movie history and you missed it? That's on you, not it.

-Dialogue? Non existent (can’t understand them anyway)

Again, on you, not it.

-Character building? NOPE

Absolutely wrong.

I just watched it again and found it to be much better in second viewing. Turn on the captions if you can't understand their accents.

Clearly, you have to be British or a WW2 historian to fully appreciate this movie. It's very faithful to what actually happened, and possesses a reverence that may put off some viewers but without which Brits would not tolerate it. The shots of the Spitfire gliding along the beach, to them, are like images of Elvis riding through the sky on a flaming Harley, wielding alight saber and fighting the forces of evil in earth's final battle.

Movie of the year? No, but it was extremely well done, IMO.
