The Fremen aren’t even on Arakis yet in the story.
According to the most accepted timelines, the Zensunni (ancestors of the Fremen) were already on Arrakis approximately 6-7000 years earlier. The 'Fremen' were established about ~1500 years before the events in Prophecy.

The BG don’t have superpowers, they aren’t mind readers, their inside info comes from spies and gossip. They don’t control the imperium and they’re not samurai warriors either. Their skills are a theoretical possibility that’s based on science not magical.
Quite true. But in this show's defense, I don't think they have actually gone away from fundamentally scientific explanations in this series yet. They've even managed an explanation for the crispy frying effect (a nanotech contolled engineered virus).

This is not Dune not even close.
It's supposed to be the Dune Universe, not necessarily Dune itself.
All that said, I think they've just tried to pack far too much into this series. Far too much. I would suggest the writers take a step back, pick a line of topic, maybe sprinkle in a minor sub-plot or two, and just run with that.
My questionable plot points:
1. Face dancers appearing far before they actually come into the canon, and the one they had (Theo), thrown away uselessly - she didn't even seriously slow Hart down.
2. The proto-BG accepting and following an abomination. Even worse, an abomination effectively created by a thinking machine. This is almost a direct contradiction to what the more fundamentalist proto-BG group would ever consider to be allowed to exist. They would only follow that thing around if they were actively trying to kill it.
3. Imprinting introduced loooooong before the technique was brought into the canon. This is a powerful telepathic ability implicitly built upon and based on other abilities long since developed. It just feels cobbled in and out-of-place here.
4. The confusing behavior of the various members of house Corrino. It's certainly consistent with real human history, where close royal family members go after each other's throats. That's accurate, but I just think it is detracting from this particular story. It's really difficult to discern the motives of the various power players, and why anybody should care. I'd simplify this.
I'll be on the look out for season two, but they really need to settle this story down and start coalescing some of the more important details:
1. How the Bene Gesserit began, and especially how they decided to breed a super being, instead of just a good ruler who they could influence. Especially how they seeded and kicked off various lines of genetic potential.
2. (Minor subplot) How the Corrinos managed to stay in power for so long despite internal back-stabbing and external (Landraad) threats.
3. (Minor subplot) The beginnings of the emplacement of Reverend Mothers all around the Imperium, but especially on Dune, to lay the foundations for coming of their future Super Being. I'd guess the Fremen chick that was the rebellion middle-man is convinced to be the very first one? Word it like it's a promotion (which in a way, it really is)

So who was the mysterious "shadow" behind Desmond Hart?

My assumption is there is another faction of BGs out there doing something. I thought it odd that when young Valya made all the other girls "choose" they had one of those silencer shields around them. That makes me think there must've still been other witnesses that survived

I thought the show was way too myopic not overloaded. You're not wrong about having a bunch of stuff in it but it’s all throw away stuff. It’s just iconography, key jangling that has nothing to do with anything and they’ll never address. Nothing really happened in the story, it’s a soapy melodrama about 2-3 women gaining power. All the Dune stuff is out of context, out of chronology or just fluff to try and hook Dune fans but fans aren’t that stupid and nobody likes this. Like I said, I laughed at almost every line throughout the episode so I enjoyed it as a parody.

Good summary of the show.

Madking is the cousin you hope doesn’t show up to Christmas.

I figured it was so if anyone was watching it would look like they all knifed themselves instead of being forced.
Show finished well enough. As with anything you can find something to complain about if you try hard enough.
My gripe is how does chick know there are bodies at the bottom of the lake if they all died after she did? If she did somehow know what happened after her death, doesn't that contradict the OG asking if her daughter and valya settled their differences?

That's my point. There may have been other sisters who left after seeing that and started their own faction, and then weaponized Desmond Hart.

This pissed me off as well. Think it was just a frick up

Wtf. I just had some downtime and tried to pick back up on the show. 6 episodes?? I thought maybe they were taking a break for the holidays the keep maximum eyeballs on it. Then wrap with another 4 episode or so
Im sure the episodes costed a fortune to make, but seems like a pretty shitty way to keep people dialed in for a second season

Finished the third episode last night. Pacing was incredibly slow, but I still like it overall so far

It speeds up later in the season. I was a little disappointed with the show, but it adds lots of lore that connects with the movies. Enjoy watching ;)

Yeah, nuggets about the great revolt and whatnot have been my favorite bits to this point. Thanks man
