I laughed…this is going to be great…unless it's one of those movies where all the funny scenes are in the trailer…which judging by this board are terrible…but I can't wait to see it.

I don't know how you can call a movie "pretty hilarious" based on a 2 minute trailer, but alright. Excuse me if low brow stuff like pulling a tube out a dude's penis doesn't have me rolling over in stitches, but I appreciate good humor.
But I assume you probably enjoy stuff like Tyler Perry and Two and a Half Men so to each their own :shrugs:

Welcome to the new, digital age of filmmaking! Digit. is cheaper... to hell with quality! You guys had better get used to this look because this is the shitty direction alll films are going. Say what you will about Chris Nolan, but at least he's one of the few who refuses to film with digital cameras.
As far is the trailer is concerned, do any of you remember teaming up on me for trashing the movie with bold predictions on what this hot shite will consist of? Based on the trailer, I'd say I'm a mfing prophet! You homos owe me an apology.

It's Dumb and Dumber humor...
You aren't just laughing with random dudes on screen...you're in on the joke...it's the characters' humor - and you connect with from the past.
They aren't making jokes - they are playing their characters.

I think the problem is that its 20 years late. They are going to be old and try to act the same way. Going to be awkward it seems. Some of those old jokes from the original made me cringe.

I sure as hell do. The trailer looks like it'll be worth the watch.
It isnt going to be a ground breaking comedy full or hyper intelligent jokes to chortle at while you sip a 25 year old scotch. Neither was the original. It looks like its going to be in the same vein as the original and it looks like it'll have some funny moments.
Also, go watch the original trailer, literally half of the original trailer contains scenes and lines that didnt even make the final cut.
Let's not forget Carey has walked off the set of this movie before because it wasnt being taken serious enough, this movie has the same cast, directors, and writers, and the only other time Jim has done a sequel it was better than the first and one of his best movies IMO.

After watching that trailer and seeing the responses on here I am pretty sure this is going to be one of those times when the MTVB got it completely wrong.
