My problem with the trailer is that it seems like they relied too much on material from the previous film. It's basically like watching older Jim Carrey and Jeff Daniels quote the funny parts of the original. And Daniels doesn't seem to be able to capture his character as well as he did in 94.

DD1 is one of my favorite comedies of all time. This look insanely...not funny. Its like they are trying way too hard to play into those roles with the stupid voices. They should made this sequel a long time ago when it could have been pulled off. This movie has awkward written all over it.
On a side note did anyone read those reviews on the youtube video? Makes me think they hired one of those buzz teams for hire who will go write positive reviews online and attack negative posters in order to gain positive energy for a product or person.

I still think it has potential.
Never a fan of comedy trailers anyway, so I will be seeing this no matter what. And more importantly I will not be intentionally watching any trailers for this movie.

I watched the trailer on mute (no choice atm) and I actually thought the same thing about Daniels..
Another thing I agree with from another poster is why does it look so cheaply filmed. It's the same directors though.. Idk..
I will reserve my judgement on whether or not I expect it to be good.
