I really enjoyed Cyborg's story and I like the actor as well. I like that they are going with his original story as opposed to having his origin tied to Mother Box technology. Loved Alan Tudyk's and other's narration (the cockroach made me gut laugh). I like that they are embracing the "Weird" without making too much out of it.

Hilarious that this show exists in the same universe as Titans. Gives me hope that the series that follow (Stargirl, Swamp Thing...) won't be pigeon-holed into an unflattering format.
Tudyk's narration is amazing. Thank God I didn't skip through his recap at the start of the show. Other series are missing out on using the pre-show recap as its own little show.
I'm not a fan of the reluctant hero theme, though I understand that it's the foundation of The Doom Patrol. So I was pleasantly surprised that they bypassed that with Cyborg and made him the enthusiastic superhero of the group. I never understood how a football star would see the acquisition of great power as some curse and the ruination of his dreams. These guys are bred and trained for competition. If Drew Brees or Tom Brady woke up with superhero enhancements that ended their sports careers, the competitive force inside them would have them shooting to be the greatest superhero ever, not send them to live in a basement somewhere.
Crazy Jane was impressive. Watching Rita and Larry go from frick-this to I-guess-we-have-to-try was enjoyable.
That scene with Vic going from "I'm the Captain America of this group, let's get excited heroes" to "Oh shite. My dad's here" was perfect.
Hopefully the producers see the gold they have in this show and we get another crossover with Titans next year. The super-serious heroes vs the frick-ups should make for a great episode.
Oh, and, the shoutouts to Bruce Wayne, Flash, Justice League...

Slow building episode but the fight scenes and Nazi puppets make up for it.
The new villain reveal at the end is insane.

Dinosaur-Tree-Man? Lol
Love this show, but like magicians, they seem to just love to use the word "frick" because they can.
Great show though so far easily the best thing DC has done
Also, Aquaman gets a shout-out (and the superfriends, )

Cliff sarcastically fist-pumping while he yells “Justice League 2020!” at Cyborg is hilarious.

This episode had a couple of slow points, but it's still easily the best live action thing DC has ever done. I've said it before and I will say it again, Doom Patrol is DC's Deadpool in that they have a vision of what this show should be and they are sticking to it with everything they do concerning it.
Brendan Frasier's "what the fuuuuuuck?" makes me giggle every time. It's probably the most realistic response lol!

The breadcrumbs they are throwing out about Crazy Jane are sooooo tasty!
I thought her (Hammerhead's) argument to Cliff about "toxic masculinity" was not just weak but exceedingly hypocritical. I hope that's addressed further and not just some SJW crap.
I could do without the man-on-man kissing.
Another solid episodes with some interesting fight scenes and plot developments. This show is still solidly at the top of my current "must watch asap" list.

"CLOSE THE PORTAL CLOSE THE PORTAL CLOSE THE PORTAL!" had me laughing. That was a great choice of moving the story along.

I'm really liking Doom Patrol. It reminds me of Legion in that it's not trying to stick to a particular genre or formula. It's not as good as Legion, but it's similar in that it's just being itself. The 2 parter over the last 2 weeks had a supernatural angle to it for instance (pun intended). Normally I don't find magic and supers mix very well, but this seemed like just another day for the Doom Patrol.
If DC Streaming can keep the quality up, between Titans and Doom Patrol it will at least be worth a 1 month a year subscription to binge the new seasons for comic show fans.

And Young Justice. It was as good, if not better than the two seasons that were on CN.

Access to their cartoon movie library is nothing to sneeze at either. DC Comics cartoon movies are solid.

help me out here - DC Universe is a separate streaming service? No other way to watch these shows without it?

DC Universe is a separate streaming channel. You can get it for your phone or Roku or PC or whatever. You can watch the first episodes of Titans and Doom Patrol for free right now on DC Universe (they won't make you register a card or anything). You can also see Titans on Netflix International if you're one of those guys.

DescriptionDoom Patrol is a team of traumatized and downtrodden superheroes, each of whom has suffered a horrible accident that gave them superhuman abilities but also left them scarred and disfigured. The members of the team have found their purpose through The Chief and have come together to investigate some of the world's weirdest phenomena. After The Chief mysteriously disappears, though, the reluctant heroes find themselves called to action
This sounds extremely similar to that newish Netflix show.

If you're referring to The Umbrella Academy, the Chief's disappearance in Doom Patrol isn't a big mystery. They know who took him, they just don't know where.

The only real similarity is they're both comic book shows.

Yeah, other than both being about a band of misfits they have nothing in common. It’s a completely different feel between Doom Patrol and Umbrella Academy.
One thing unique about Doom Patrol is it’s very well cast. And I don’t mean star power for a TV show like Brendan Fraser and Timothy Dalton. They’re almost all just very good and engaging actors.

DC literally does everything great except making live action movies

Tudyk is knocking it out the park. His narrations and monologues are on par with Hamill's Joker (and Tudyk is taking over the Joker role in the new Harley cartoon).
