Agreed.
Chris Tucker was playing the character he was hired to portray. He was supposed to be a annoying space disc(?) jockey.

Fifth Element is one of those weird ones for me. Lots of critics I trust and even friends with good taste love it. I hated every minute of it. Didn't like the aesthetic, thought the effects aged horribly, dialogue was cheesy, wanted to punch Tucker's character in the face, and it was way too long. Maybe I didn't watch in the right frame of mind, but definitely never putting myself through that again.

Love, love this movie. Just nuts. Don't see how anyone couldn't have fun watching it.
