I guess our brains are mixing Sinbad and Shazam?
Oh shite. The Shaq movie is Kazaam. I have no answers...

I remember Sinbad as a guy on a TV show that came on after Cosby, a comedian I never watched and as a mailman in a movie where he tries to steal a toy from Arnold Schwarzenegger.

Your memories aren't perfect.
It's funny. Memories are very malleable, and apparently suggestible. It's extra-iffy going back to memories from childhood, when your imagination was already filling in the blanks.
This is what juries should understand when weighing testimony about something that happened years ago.

I seem to remember being 14 or 15 and watching it with my then 3 year old sister in like 94/95. It seemed like Sinbad tried to help 2 kids' dad find love and at the end, it just wasn't possible. Also, I feel like the dad was Phil Hartman. I also remember Kazaam coming out and thinking they outright ripped it off, even though it was already a shitty Disney movie. I don't remember Mandella dying in prison, but the B-Bears thing seems legit....
Also, I remember a movie on HBO that was in the early to mid-80's where a high school tried a social experiment using colored patches on Students arms. At the end, there was a big riot in the school. I've yet to find evidence that this movie ever existed either. But I know for a fact that there was 2 decent looking white dudes (who were rich and popular at first) and they were given the worst colors and treated horribly. Then this black jock named "Thompson" was the best color and always making their lives hell. Anyone else remember anything like this??? And one of the white dudes was dating an Asian chick and she was given the "middle" color and trying to tell her white boyfriend that he's finding out for the 1st time what it's like to be a minority and they break up and he goes full psycho.

Funny you mention Phil Hartman, I posted the OT thread on this and linked to an article where someone else remembered Hartman being associated with the "movie."

I'm not sure it's something that I'm willing to bet my life on that it happened, but it damn sure does feel like I watched it.

Phil Hartman and Sinbad were in at least two movies together (House Guest and Jingle All the Way). Roll that in with the fact that he goes by "Sinbad", and poof, you suddenly have a false memory of him being in a genie movie with Phil Hartman.
