Does anybody actually think Andy Samberg is funny?

Outside of the legendary Lazy Sunday skit from SNL, the dude is cringeworthy on the screen. He just seems like he tries way too hard to be funny. His presence on SNL was just annoying besides the occasional decent Lonely Island skit, but even then he wasn't exactly funny in those.

His bit on the James Franco roast make me want to pluck my eyes out and shove them up my peehole. And then they gave him that fricking terrible show on Fox, Brooklyn Nine-Nine.

He has been pretty awful in everything he has been in, imo. The only reason he has survived are the people around him carrying him on their shoulders.

Samberg sux. Prove me wrong

Wow, if you don't think that's funny then there's certainly nothing I can say to change your mind. I thought he killed that bit.

I like Hot Rod, but it's really stupid and I can totally see why others wouldn't

His Lonely Island songs make me laugh, but I really haven't seen him in much else

Who's bit would you say was worse than his?

I guess he was trying to be ironic or some shite. Whatever it was stupid

I really wanted to dislike Brooklyn 99. But it's really good.

Really good. Give it another shot or two.

Because they enjoy it. Does humor not have a place in music?

Whatever his appeal is, I don't get it. Aside from a few of the SNL videos, he just stands there being awkward/ironic and you're supposed to laugh on command.

I mean not a full CD. Weird Al, for example, is just fricking stupid.

It's nice to have doses of humor in legitimate lyrics or a somewhat serious song. Parody CDs to me and pretty much the Adult version of Kidz Bop

Damn you hate Weird Al too?!?!

As for Samberg, I've enjoyed just about everything I've seen him in.

His nic cage and mark wahlberg impressions are pretty great on snl. Brooklyn 99 is a really good show, he's not like George Costanza level funny in it buys he's an integral part of a very good cast. If you're hating on the show you either haven't given it a shot or your taste in comedy is so odd as to make any comedic opinions you have irrelevant

I only watched the first 5 or 6 episodes and just didn't take. I think it is just because Samberg sucks so bad it distracts me from the rest of the show. But I would imagine my opinions on comedy are very similar to the majority of this board besides this hack.

Not a fan either. But I laughed at a couple of his jokes in the roast. It was definitely awkward though.
