wrong. Miyazaki laughs at you.
The ballroom scene in Beauty in the beast... the wildebeest scene in Lion King... could not have been done that way without PC.
Oh, and Miyazaki's coloring... done by computer.

Which is why Disney owns Studio Ghibli...because 2D isn't profitable.
Wow, there are some very stupid blanket comments in this thread.
Spirited Away (2001) being the highest, grossing over US $274 million worldwide.
The Wind Rises (2014) made over $91 million
But I agree. "isn't profitable" was too definitive and incorrect if taken literal. Much less profitable and more likely to be unprofitable. That's more accurate.

I think Bloom is back. Not sure about Knightly
Okay. I might be interested. They need a balance.
All in all, this lineup tells me "we mostly only have reboot/sequel ideas, but we do have a few ideas that should work".

Damn they remade Pete's Dragon?!?
Loved the original as a kid. Can't wait to see an updated version.

Frozen was originally supposed to be 2d. I wish they stuck with it because that would have been just what hand drawn films needed to kick start a revitalization.

As good as Frozen was, it was indeed a missed opportunity. It really could have been the most beautiful animated film this side of the Pacific. I'm sure Elsa's ice castle would have still been digital, but I think they could have gotten a large portion of it right by classically animating it. Granted, Disney in all likelihood made the better financial decision by making it 3-D animation, but it's a movie I have to ask to myself "what if".
