I enjoyed it. I agree the end was anticlimactic, but I thought it nailed its main themes of loss, pain and suffering and the effects of doubt. It was beautiful shot, soundtrack kills it, and it had great acting. All in all it is one of my favorite recent shows.

One thing The Young Pope reminded me of is that James Cromwell is great at playing a dickhead.
