had they made the Russian mob the main storyline the entire season, it very well could have been one of the best. the main guy was pretty great. the scene where him and Dex talk in the bar was top notch in the entire series.

4 after 1 and 2? and then tied with 7? you sir are bold.
1 and 4 are the best to me really. Seaon 1 bc it was so new and refreshing and 4 simply because of the pure chaos and Lithgows genius. Although 2 is right there. Doakes was a bad mother

1 and 2 were amazing. 2 is how I thought they should have ended the series with Doakes on him. They tried to emulate that with Quinn in a few seasons but its dropped and he is practically worthless and malnourished since he started in season 3.
6 was awful. Watchable but awful. Lot of potential with the religious themes and the apocalypse (generally one of my favorite themes) but to have it turn out like that with Tom Hank's spawn...only the last seconds were great.
Rita's death to me was shocking for shocks sake. It carried no weight IMO for dexter, who is emotionless, detached from her by his inaffectuon. I wasn't really convinced of their relationship but he had it to assimilate. Didn't help that she almost cheated on dexter with the neighbor. She was reduced to Padme in the SW prequels in that she was only a device to birth a child. So once Harrison was born (between seasons 3 & 4) she was useless and outstayed her welcome.

Wow, I completely disagree. I think thats just who Dexter is though. He's never really been that close to anyone except his father. I think he absolutely loved Rita in his own way and I think her death carried immense weight with him. He finally realized that what he was doing could very well get the people he loved killed. Now that his wife died, his son could very well come into harms way next.

I can sort of agree with this because once he and Rita got married, I really had no idea where they would take him. If they were just casual then its not really a big deal. But once they got married, had a kid, and lived together, it's like well how in the hell are they realistically going to continue having Dexter sneak out without any consequences? I think she had to die or be removed from the picture in some way, but I absolutely no way expected it to happen like that. But like I said earlier, I think there was absolutely a purpose and it wasn't just for shock factor.

Dexter kills an innocent, dickhead but still innocent, for the first time for basically looking at him wrong days after her death. It had a pretty severe affect on him.
Season 4 had by far the best villain of the entire series. How can you post your review of Season 4 and not even include Lithgow's brilliance as Trinity?
Pumped to see how one of my favorite shows ends. It's had low points, but they were severely outnumbered by the highs.

I see it ending with how it all began. Dexter's son will be found in a pool of Dexter's blood by Deb and she will raise him how Dexter was raised. By the code.

I'm anxious, this is the final season right?
Side question: Can I watch episodes live on Sho Anytime? Or do I have to wait like On Demand?

Would not be okay with this

So Harrison gets found in blood twice. Real life bad luck Brian.
I think somehow Deb takes the fall for Dex and he and Harrison fade to black.

I'd like that ending more. I feel like the ending is going to be left ambiguous

I hope Hannah Mckay makes a comeback.

I just don't see Dexter making it out. His world is crashing down right now.

I think he turns against the code and it results in Deb shooting and killing him in the finale.
