But the one that pisses me off the most is him throwing the laptop in the water right by the van. Just really cheap, because they can bring that back anytime they want to.
this really bothered me. Harry would def say that was breaking the code. I was actually sad Harry wasnt yelling at dex for doing this.

Why didnt Dexter change up the body dumping after the scuba diver found the pile of bodies last time that they pinned on Doaks or Moser? HUH
they did. he now dumps them in the gulf stream. they addressed this in the second season when they were hunting for the bay harbor butcher

ive noticed his absence. I dont mind the breakaway since Dexter has decided to let the code evolve for a few seasons... starting with the pedo that was after astor who had never actually killed anyone.

Was it clear he killed that guy?

I know he choked him out but they dont really indicate the guy died.

I think the main aspect of the show that is missing now is they never have the flashbacks with Harry and young Dex.

Pretty sure they showed the pedo dead and then Dexter grabbed the milk out of the fridge.

I thought the actor who played Chase did an excellent job, he was pretty creepy as was Lithgow in his role last year.

There's a difference between the pedophile that Dexter killed and the one that was beating his girlfriend's daughter in this season.

In Season 3 Dexter killed pedophile.

Quote from Dexter Victim website: "The guy was a convicted sex offender and is ready to strike again. Although he never killed anybody, and he hasn't committed any crimes that he hasn't already paid for in prison, Dexter kills him because he feels that this man threatens "his children" (a first for Dexter)."

In season 5, Dexter just roughed up a guy that was beating up Astor's friend.

Correct.

And it's undetermined (at least as far as contractual issues are concerned) whether next season will be the last.

Michael C. Hall (Dexter) and Jennifer Carpenter (Deb) are reportedly getting divorced. I feel bad for them but I hope this doesn't affect the plot of the show.

Not so fast. Go back and watch the very last interaction between Debra and Dexter at the birthday party. That last line was intentionally delivered in a vague manner.

Jonny Lee Miller. Amazing that he was Sick Boy in "Trainspotting".

The only nagging thing is what, then, did Deb mean when she said to Dexter something along the lines of "you must be glad this whole thing is finally over"? Why did she think the barrel girls case would affect Dex that much?

this

He also showed 0 emotional attachment to the case or girls involved at all

Dexter worked the case, but he was pretty much in and out most of the time with it, Masuka was doing most of the work...
