Hopefully this belongs on this board. Not sure how many of you are familiar with Kevin Perjurer's "Defunctland" channel on YouTube, but his 90-minute deep-dive documentary into his quest to figure out the origins of the 4-note mnemonic for the Disney channel was one of the most informative (and unexpectedly emotional) projects I'd seen. Highly recommend giving it a watch (piecemeal, if need be). Especially without reading the comments beforehand.

Defunctland is excellent with these long form documentaries.

Watched it about 2 weeks ago. Was a good watch and he did some real journalism. Although it seems to me he could of come to his conclusion on the individual a little sooner than he did based on the individuals of interest, although I am thinking he may have done it this way intentionally for story purposes

Oh absolutely he did it for story/cinematic purposes. Kinda flexed his filmmaking/storytelling muscles a bit, but managed to do so tastefully and with good pacing (for such a long vid). Was really impressed how he managed to turn what could have been a 5 minute throwaway trivia question vid into a real tribute/introspective.

Love Defunctland. Having been to WDW many times, the FastPass doc is great and stuff on old attractions from around the country are very interesting.

I'm a bit older than the Disney channel demo, but I still loved this video.

Also his series on Jim Henson and the Muppets is fantastic. Six episodes I believe.

The whole defunctTV series is pretty solid

I have been diving down a rabbit hole of abandoned disney attractions which is how I came across defunctland. A few good channels in this regard are Yesterworld Entertainment, Bright Sun Films, and Fastpass Facts (This reaches outside the world of disney as well)

Loved that documentary. Never got to go to WDW as a kid (all three times as an adult), but that place is magical, and figuring out the history behind FastPass was really cool.

Yep, I wasn't the target demographic in its heyday, but my younger siblings were. Brought back some great memories of babysitting them watching Playhouse Disney.

I re-introduced Bear in the Big Blue House to my kids thanks to Defunctland.
