I'm late to the party, I mean very late. I've counted very few among the genre of Westerns that I've liked, but damn this is a fine example of a television series. This episode in particular. I hate that what's left to watch in this series is left to another season plus the movie.

Both S1E12 and S2E12 were great but for me, S3E5 is by far my favorite.

Meh.

May be the best Deadwood episode but Deadwood is far from being best at anything

Yellowstone is 10X better than Deadwood

I like Yellowstone too, but I would definitely have to disagree on the quality of either the writing or the acting being superior to Deadwood - It’s in a different league, but the scenery alone in Yellowstone is as good as just about anything on tv.

The writing, the acting and the story line is all better than Deadwood. Deadwood was very slow at times. Yellowstone never slows down. By far a better series in my eyes.

yea, kinda knew that was coming but Im being honest.

Yellowstone > Deadwood

I felt like Deadwood had some serious potential but they just kinda danced around and really did nothing with it. Slow developing story with some gread dialog at times. The main characters are fantastic . I was just a little disappointed on where they took it

Yellowstone also has some great acting and its very young. It could fizzle out but seems like they are on a good track with it. Acting is fantastic

You stay out of this! You don't know nothin' about this! You weren't here and you don't have his proxy, so why don't you do whatever you people do when you're not running your mouths off or cheatin' people out of what they earn by Christian work.

God rest the soul of this poor idiot... and pussy's half price for the next 15 minutes.

Sometimes the borderline Drunk Shakespearean dialouge takes me out of Deadwood. Also some characters can be a little one note. Like Seth basically is autistic angry.

And Jane is easily the most annoying character in TV history.

They did overdo it a bit; but, I've recently read the book Buffalo Girlsby Larry McMurtry, and her presentation in that book was not a lot different.

The book prompted me to do a little light research on her. The drinking part was definitely accurate (it's what eventually killed her). Also, her blowing up a pretty minor acquaintance with Wild Bill into a full blown infatuation also seems to be the prevailing thinking on how that went down. Her use of foul language was also accurate.
