On this rainy evening I turned this on, and honestly I thought it was cool starting off as a horror flick.
It was entertaining and honestly this kinda bummed me out they abandoned this universe so early.
Russel Crowe as Dr Jekyll was awesome, would have liked to see him in his film.

It’s problems aside, I was sad to see it go too.
At least it seemed like they were putting effort to plan it all out well. And it’s not like the Mummy didn’t make money. It just had a bloated marketing campaign that was almost as much as the film in terms of costs.
Really would have liked to have seen Depp’s Invisible Man or Johnson’s Wolfman.
As an aside, Del toro was attached to do the Creature from the black Lagoon remake, and when released from the project he took ideas he had and made The Shape of Water

I actually enjoyed that movie, it could have been a good franchise. As the opening flick, it really didn't stumble as bad as the first Godzilla movie did (hey, we'd like to see the monsters!), and it had some interesting premises to build on.

Was he?
I'll concede it was OK until the plane crash. The last hour+ was just dumb with crap CGI.
