Yes, Pesci did Home Alone, but for teh most part, he's almost been type-casted.
Lethal Weapons? Man on Fire (original)? With Honors? All good performances, outside the box, by Pesci (regardless of the overall caliber of the movies).

I feel most of Devito's roles could have been play just as well by many other actors - not the same of Pesci.

With Honors?

Forgot about this role for some reason.

I was on here the other day defending Brendan Frasier talking about how he did a good job in this.

Pesci was great in With Honors. Very unique role for him, and he played it perfectly.

The speech in the lecture hall was great.

I give this to Devito by a pretty significant margin...more range IMO

Devito is more well-rounded even though Pesci is easily the better drama actor.

I kind of agree with Pesci being the better dramatic actor.

No one plays a better tough guy than him.-Goodfellows, Casino. I'll probably get som4 shite for saying so but I think he and Dinero have been great in their greatest roles because of where they are from. They are basically emulating people they knew growing up. They make great assholes because they grew up around a bunch of them.

He was also good at creepy with JFK.

I do tink he is limited when it comes to comedy though.

He was good in My Cousin Vinnie but for the most part he was still playing a little East Coast tough guy.

The Lethal Weapon movies he's kind of funny but more annoying. He's a nice wimpy New Yorker.

I don't see what was so great about him in Home Alone. He was still a bad guy, just a dumb one with bad teeth.

Devito is the better comic actor.

He was great being funny in Taxi, Romancing the Stone & Jewel, Cokoo's Nest, Get Shorty & Death to Smoochy

His best dramatic roles to me were in Living Out Loud, L.A. Confidential and The Rainmaker.

Pesci nails the roles in Casino and Goodfellows but he is basically playing the same role (a tough guy from the east coast who kils too many people).

Devito has some good dramatic roles and some really funny ones.

I have to go with Devito.

I like Pesci a lot but Devito is the more diverse and interesting actor.

Ha! I flipped out for a second. First, I couldn't believe Dan was back and second I couldn't believe that after a year long ban, he was starting his same shtick all over again.

How can you forget Casino?

Raging Bull, Goodfellas, and Casino are easily his best roles. He wins easily IMO.
