From now on, you can only make movies or write books about your own race.
Then again that’s non inclusive so also racist

Denzel is right in that Scorsese could've made a good Schindler's List and Spielberg could've made a good Goodfellas, but their cultural backgrounds elevated each of their films in a way that their counterpart couldn't have.
I really don’t agree with this, for starters Spielbergs immediate family are not Holocaust survivors. His grandparents immigrated to the US in the early 1900s. Schindlers List is a very different movie directed by Scorsese. Goodfellas just doesn’t fit Spielbergs style. Scorsese also cowrote it. But it’s more about being from a similar neighborhood than strictly ethnic background ground. Also Deniro plays an Irish hood not Italian. Norman Jewison is a Canadian of English decent should he not have directed Moonstruck about Italian-Americans in Brooklyn?

Yeah that's pretty much the perfect gif for that entire nonsense spiel he gave.
I’ve probably used it on the MTV board for woke nonsense more than than anywhere else
And I genuinely hate the overuse of the word “woke.”
It’s just word salad to make yourself feel better on Boyle’s part. Slumdog was literally the “little movie that could” and had us cheering for a kid in India and launched numerous careers and lifted whole areas and people out of poverty at the time.
Complete self-mastuabutory malarkey on his part.

His statement really makes no sense because the movie was aimed at Western audiences anyway.
No it makes no sense because he’s a self loathing pants on head hypocrite retard. And you’re bending over backwards to defend him. You’re looking like as big a joke as he is right now.

wtf does it have to do with cultural appropriation and colonialism? The character does Who wants to be a Millionaire in India. Because a white guy directed the movie? Get over yourself. A true artist can write about what he wants and how he wants. Take Quentin Tarentino for example. That dude has N***** said in almost everyone of his movies and very few give him sht about it because its ART!
