Season two premiered last night on Starz, and I was just able to catch it today, so wanted to get a thread for this season started. Was really surprised how quickly they were able to start up the next season. Definitely not complaining.
We are given a little more info on how the OI works with upper management, which consist of at least a few people, bringing in an outsider for investigation too. I’m curious how they allocate oversight between both worlds, since it seems like they are after the well-being of each, yet they allow tradecraft and pretty much everything else free reign on both sides. Liked how management asked the new chick if she believed in God, seems like whatever is overseeing the OI is kind of playing the watchful protector role
Definitely think we need some more technical reveals of how these worlds exist and especially how communication is possible across both simultaneously and wirelessly, since these places don’t physically exist next to each other in the normal sense

I love this show, but I’m going to try to let a few episodes build up and start watching it around the New Year.

Damn episode 6. Not sure how they could have explained it much better

That was such a great episode.

Episode 6 is legit if you have questions. I saw where the writer also directed this episode. I was kind of glad he took the quantum mechanical approach to it. Really liked how he made it similar to the Schrondinger’s Cat experiment by affecting the superposition when Yanek took pictures(observed) of the experiment. Cool fact: when the scientists meet for the first time, two pairs are actually twins in real life
Such an underrated show, especially for its spy/sci-fi mixture

Great episode. Hopefully Starz let's the show run its course. Not sure what the ratings look like.
Young Yanek played John Simcoe in Turn.

I foolishly started this show way back and lost track of it....
Thankfully I was able to binge and catch up within the last 4 days. Such a captivating show, I'm starting to root for everyone to lose. You know it's good when you have to pause, turn on CCaption for a second, rewatch, pause, turn CC back off, and think for a second. I also love how they rarely tell you what side you're watching, but there are always just enough context clues in the dialogue for you to figure it out....if you're paying attention. It makes it so damn frustrating and so great at the same time.
whenever, however...this series wraps up ugly

Yep, the most recent episode was really good. Overall for me, this show is a bit of a slow burn.
I'd almost rather not watch it every week because it's best to binge several episodes back to back.

Just checking google its hard to say, but looks like they have been a disappointment for season 2. As fast as they are moving the story along now, I wonder if they knew it would be cancelled after this season

Just saw it finally. After watching it I realized that the only person in this episode from the series was Mira. No other cast member had ever been seen before except in the picture the guy showed Howard at Echo.
Pretty awesome and messed up at the same time. One little difference between the two worlds (the music tape) can change so much.

I had no idea this already happened. I never check my Starz app.
The first season was fantastic.

That's exactly why this show doesn't have more viewers. I don't think Starz advertised it much at all. I love this show. It is so under rated

I look forward to this show as much or more as Better Call Saul. Sunday nights with the headphones on is the TV highlight of my week. Sadly, it's over too soon.
Next week is the season finale, but at the rate the story is moving I suspect they are wrapping up the series. I hope I'm wrong.

Yep love the show, guessing they are ending it

Starz isn't renewing for a third season, but they are shopping the show to streaming services. Hopefully Netflix or Hulu pick it up and bring a larger audience.

Hey #counterpart fans, a bit of sad news… Starz has decided not to pick up our show for a 3rd season...

Thank you to everyone who made this journey so special for us. Your tweets, podcasts, and intricate conspiracy theories have made it all worthwhile. Fingers crossed that our wonderful studio, MRC, can find a way to keep the dream alive!

Ending was fantastic. Could end here, but story definitely could be continued if someone picks it up... Netflix please
Posted on 2/17/19 at 10:15 pm to UltimaParadox
As much as I enjoyed this series, it really needs to end here.

They wrapped up everything pretty well. While I would like it to be picked up by someone to continue the story in this world, I wouldn't be mad at it ending how it did.
**Spoiler**
I should have known Mira had a backup plan if the cell failed. Didn't think it would be other dad, but I should have since she hated him for killing her actual dad.

Yeah can't believe I didn't see it coming. Second season was far superior to the first, but part of that they must have known the series was ending because the pace was very quick.
