Yea, I would say this characterizes how I feel after watching community. Still think it is one of the best shows in TV at the moment and is in my top 3.

Not sure how many youngsters got the apocalypse now and hearts of darkness references. Annie doing the Dennis hopper schtick was funny only if you have seen apocalypse now. The whole episode only makes sense if you have seen hearts of darkness which is the documentary of the making of apocalypse now. I bet 20 % of the viewers really go it

I like to imagine that the credits scene with Jeff Garlin was actual documentary footage of the real Chevy Chase being Chevy Chase.

The breakdown was straight out of Martin Sheen in Hearts of Darkness. And when the Dean turned into Kurtz, I laughed pretty hard.
