Cobra Kai is probably my favorite show on tv right now. Sucks that we have to wait until 2021 for season 3 but I assume thats because Netflix wants to milk the first two seasons first.

Do you really think they can sign Tamilyn Tomita to this? She's WAY too high-profile of an actress now.
To your point though: She has aged better than Elisabeth Shue.

it sucks that we will have to wait but i know that i will watch it all too fast whenever it does come out. 
i slow played season 1 pretty well but was left wanting more so when 2 came out i finished in like a day and a half

Does there NEED to be a season 3 ?
No, I've not seen it yet, and while I've heard good things about season one, how long is this going to go on? Like Stranger Things, great 1st season, but going to the well to many times... hope it doesn't end with a fizzle.

Season one was perfect, season two was also pretty damn near perfect. It’s the best show on streaming right now by a wide margin.

IMDB is far from official. It can be edited just as easily as Wikipedia.

But yes, we learned during GoT that they sometimes omit credits until shows air, so he might still be in S3.
