I am going to have to go back and rewatch the movies now.
How long do we think Robbie was training with Daniel? 3-4 weeks? He learned quickly

That's the biggest flaw with this series. Maybe they should've waited until season 2 for the tourney.

just finished it, loved although I'm confused as to who the writers wanted me to root for. I honestly couldn't stand Robby and am team Diaz. I feel like the writers tried to give us a twist but didn't execute it right. Miguel was likable for almost the entire series and then we're supposed to suddenly root against him? I don't know, I actually liked Larusso as a character. I thought they both did a good job. I only really disliked Robby and Larusso's bitch arse son.

Haha, I pulled for Robby at the end. I was team Diaz all the way until he hit Sam

Yep- They should have just let him get his arse beat pretty bad, then go all Bruce Lee in S2. But I was Diaz still, Robbie to shady.
I was liking Daniel more when him and Johnny was at the bar drinking. But he looked silly in his Gi.
Daniel son sucks, but Daniel is a terrible father. Spent more time with Robbie then his brat

I agree. 80's Cobra Kai would've destroyed these guys
That’s the whole point. None of Johnny’s students are badass jock types - they are pussy-arse millenials...that he sort of turns into badasses.

This is actually more plausible than the original KK. Daniel only trained with Mr. Miyagi for 6 weeks. The tournament was in mid December and Daniel started training right after Halloween.
In Cobra Kai the tournament is in May. So, Robby got much more training than Daniel.

I think that's kinda the point, though.

Just finished episode six. The acting is a little weak at times which is expected but show is good for a few lols per episode.
Karate Kenny Powers
Enjoying it a lot.

I can't help but feel loathing for Sam. She kept Miguel a hidden secret, and Miguel just got fueled by the Cobra Kai ideology. Then she goes and doesn't tell him about the "family dinner" that he witnessed her talking with another guy. Dating shouldn't stop you from seeing friends, but not telling your BF is entirely different. That and the fact that Robby and Sam were acting awfully close during the walk to the party scene. Towards the end there were so many emotions flying around the season became a crap show. I've been so worked up over a yt red show. That was a great season, hope season 2 comes with answers to the questions I'm asking, and Sam and Miguel's redemption. Rant over.

The last one was kinda lame compared to 1 and 2. I can't really remember the final outcome between Daniel and Barnes.

Rewatched KK3 today with my son so he could bask in the glory that was Terry Silver. Noticed it had a rotten tomatoes score of 16%.

Watched it all in one sitting and can’t wait for season 2. Pleasantly surprised by how much I loved it. Good stuff!

Could Terry Silver be Miguel's Dad?

I was reading a review on Cobra Kai last night after rewatching KK3, and that’s exactly what they suggested. Either way, I’m sure Johnny vs. Miguel’s dad will be a future storyline after Johnny starts banging Miguel’s mom. But it would be awesome if it turns out to be Silver...

Miguel's mom did say his dad was a very bad man. These writers are geniuses to say that. It leaves the door open.

It was intended to mirror Johnny’s childhood (or at least how Johnny portrayed it). Both grew up weak, found karate, became stronger and due to a couple misunderstood scenarios with a girl turn into assholes
I hope with s2 they give us more than cobra kai/Johnny/diaz vs miyagi/robby. It would be really interesting if they teamed up like someone else mentioned.

That's what makes it so good.
So many story arcs and its never really clear who the protagonists and antagonists are. You find yourself going back and forth rather than telling yourself, "well shite you know the good guy's going to win."
From the trailer, this looked like it was going to be pretty funny. But it was even better than I expected. Assuming they're making another season, I'm looking forward to what happens next.
