Surely you mean Wes Anderson. PT wouldn't get caught within 100ft of Nolan. I can understand putting Nolan above Wes, Malick, and Refn, because those guys require a particular taste, but Lynch...no way.

Yes, Wes. PTA is near the very top for me.
And re: Lynch, my ranking would have to be prefaced with "based on the movies I've seen". . .

Because I think Nolan's body of work outweighs Blue Velvet and Mulholland Drive. JMO
I think they do. They are far better than anything Nolan' done. Elephant man is amazing. Lost highway is good, but it's a little out there for some people. Just don't watch Dune

Word. Understandable.
PTA is near the top for me as well. Amazing director. Reading his screenplays made me like him even more. He's brilliant

Among that list, I'd rank Nolan above Anderson
It's all personal taste of course, but for the most part I enjoy Wes Anderson's works more than Nolan's.

Hopefully Nolan gets his shite together after that disaster of a film called The Dark Knight Rises.
Memento
Insomnia
The Prestige
Inception
Great shite right there

2 out of 30 films. He would have really gotten shite if he black-faced a white actor for those roles.

Yeah, like I said, I left off a lot. Ritchie, Miyazaki, McDonagh, Del Toro, Herzog, park chan-wook, etc.

Refn? Seriously? I'm a huge drive fan, but that's just ridiculous
Posted on 7/15/13 at 10:34 am to TulaneTigerFan
have you seen anything besides drive? not being a douche, a lot of people haven't seen his other movies besides bronson
Posted on 7/15/13 at 10:36 am to Carson123987
Yeah, I've seen a number of them. I like him, but he's heavy style little substance. At least Nolan can tell a coherent story
